Progress Report

KBCF team have focused their activities on the past month by carrying out activities related to organizing farmers and forest farmer groups at the program locations. Coordination was carried out with various stakeholders to discuss the STDB registration process, village regulations related to protected areas, as well as developments related to BUMDes. Regarding BUMDes, 3 drafts of business planning documents (compost, tourism, and herbal medicine) have been produced and will be finalized soon. Land identification was also carried out which included data covering 948 ha of palm oil smallholders. In November, a women’s farmer group in Semuntai Village was formed, where capacity building in processing palm oil into oil and soap was carried out for the group. In the future, it is planned to hold a Sustainable Community Oil Palm Cultivation Field School to support capacity building related to oil palm GAP for farmers in locations.
