Abdi has a long experience working in Central Kalimantan since 1999. Abdi supports The SPOS Indonesia Program in facilitating communication and coordination between partners which working in Central Kalimantan, facilitating communication with SPOS Indonesia and partners with local governments and related central government UPTs in Central Kalimantan Province. as well as facilitating and being actively involved in policy dialogues related to the program as a representation of KEHATI in Central Kalimantan Province.

Petani Sawit Swadaya yang merupakan masyarakat di Desa Setawar memiliki inisiatif untuk tetap melestarikan hutan adat desa yang tersisa di wilayahnya. Hutan adat desa yang dilindungi adalah 286 hektar yang terdiri dari 3 rimba dan berada pada wilayah HGU PT Agro Andalan. SPOS Indonesia Yayasan KEHATI Bersama mitra SPKS memfasilitasi pembentukan Peraturan Desa tentang perlindungan hutan. Perdes hutan adat terbit dengan no 6 tahun 2021 dan tidak lepas dari dukungan PT Agro Andalan dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Sekadau. Puncak dari kolaborasi ini adalah deklarasi Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Hutan Masyarakat Adat bersama oleh Masyarakat Desa Setawar, PT Agro Andalan, bersama dengan SPKS dan Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Sekadau pada bulan Februari tahun 2022. Saksikan bagaimana proses dan semangat menjaga hutan adat yang tersisa di Kabupaten Sekadau pada video berjudul “Bersama Menajaga Hutan” Tersedia juga subtitle dalam bahasa inggris. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Smallholders in Setawar Village have the initiative to preserve the remaining indigenous community forest in their area. The total protected indigenous community forest area is 286 hectares consisting of three jungles (rimba) which located within the Right To Cultivate (HGU-Hak Guna Usaha) concession area of PT Agro Andalan. SPOS Indonesia Yayasan KEHATI together with partner SPKS facilitating the establishment of Village Regulation on indigenous community forest Protection. Village Regulation on indigenous community forest Protection was establishe on number 6 Year 2021 and is also supported by PT Agro Andalan and Sekadau Regency Government The Pinnacle of this mutual commitmen was the declaration of the Protection and Management of indigenous community forest by Setawar Village community, PT Agro Andalan, torether with SPKS and the Sekadau District Government in February 2022.
