Strengthening Palm Oil Sustainability in Indonesia is established with the spirit of palm oil governance in Indonesia with a mission to uphold the welfare of small-scale palm oil smallholders and stopping the conversion of natural forest and peatland for palm oil plantation. This program is the continuation of Revamping ISPO which was implemented in April 2017 until June 2019 and has resulted several achievements namely draft of President Regulation on ISPO, draft of New ISPO system including its architecture, tools for mapping and data collection, map of national palm oil cover including map of national palm oil in forest area, pilot of Agrarian Resolution Process and pilot of smallholder data collection and Registration, concept of Jangka Benah (Transitional Forestry) to recover ecosystem functions of forest.
SPOS Indonesia program will support relevant Ministries/Agencies program under the coordination of Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs as the Co-Chair of Steering Committee.
